Day 115

--Nikki and I took a ferry to the second largest town on the island of Kefalonia: Lixouri. Sidenote: we are staying in the largest town (Argostoli), and it is quite quaint. The quiet is beautiful though. Well, Lixouri was nice as well, but even more quiet than Argostoli. Today, we again went hunting for the glass of the sea, and found tons of ceramic pieces. It is so fascinating! And I am so happy that Nikki and I are both terribly intrigued with these little mysterious pieces. We had bucket-fulls (almost) of ice cream, and stumbled upon an abandoned and roofless house with some unique contents –tiles, a picture frame, wood, glass, some sort of cassette tape, a broken cd, and keys.

In the evening, we visited our friend, Spyros and said goodbye to him, and then took his recommendation for a traditional Greek dinner. After being stuffed to the brim, we walked back up all the hills for a last time. Tomorrow, we are going back to enjoy & soak in our last few days in Firenze.
